Skype-ing at UAA!

We are going to start using skype as a learning tool at United Artdoll Artist Group. Myself, Kat, and Sara are working on times and guidlines for this great new tool we are going to be using. I am so excited. And I know it will help alot of members shine! Looking forward to it. :)

UAA is for anyone who is interested in artdolls from collectors, designers promoting thier work (please promote others as well;)) that's how promotion on UAA works; beginners, intermediate, anyone who has never sewn but wants to learn how to make dolls of all kind and genre's. Are you interested in promoting your work! Do it on UAA! Make an album of the doll you wish to sell, a link that takes you customer to your shop to complete your sell, email me that you're doll sold and I'll remove the post. It's that easy. Also Include a small explanation of your doll encouraging you potential client to go to your shop to find out more information about your artdoll. Remember to always be kind and considerate. Never critisize anothers work, be helpful and encourage friendships to form. We were all beginners at one time and one artist may possess a skill another doesn't but we are all human beings so please remember this. In the near future I will introduce a website anyone can go to join and learn, then return, and show your work or sell, buy, trade it's up to you. All artist are independent and must have a separate venue for which to sell your dolls such as artfire, etsy, etc. If you have a question please email me at artdollheaven@gmail.com OK! have fun! Steve the Gentleman Troll Custom Order $400.00 Turnaround time 4 months minimum. He's a complicated guy.;)

Steve the Gentleman Troll is a complicated soul. He takes 4 months approximately to complete due to his complexity. He is approx. 15" in height. If you are feeling adventrous and want to make him yourself you can with the detailed pattern I sell here at Art Doll Heaven; However, I am offering hm for custom orders. He has a cloth body but it will fool you. He looks clay sculpted. His face is hand painted and his ears have that sophistication you want in any Gentleman Troll. He loves to fish so his shirt has fishing motifs on the fabric. and its edged with gauze because he likes it that way. Sometimes he gets chilly so he comes with his very hand knitted scarf as well. He tried to clean his toes but he's a troll you know so he left them a little dirty just for you. His hair is threaded 1 and 2 at a time with high end soft embroidery threads making his hair full and highlighted. He has kind eyes and a warm heart. His hands and feet are clay over fabric and his nails have a realistic look. Plus thier a little dirty from playing n the pond...oops. I wasn't suppose to tell you this. He sits on a cup and among a beautiful forest scene with a tree trunk hand made and sculpted, his walking cane also handmade and sculpted. He won the "Most Ugliest Troll Art Doll Challenge" with CDA in '10 and we are all very proud of this at Art Doll Heaven. He is a joy to have in our home and my husband will not part with him from the man cave but he agreed to let me make custom orders of Steve. He is a graceful troll that would make any mantel look elegant. #artdollheaven #follow4follow

Never made an artdoll but have the itch! Worried about cost! Here's how to get into it cheaply!

You can still make a great artdoll without spending a lot of money. Here's how! First, buy a pattern. Look at all the materials and suplies needed. Most art dolls range around $20-$50 to make so everytime time you purchase an artdoll pattern from a different designer you adding to our tash of fabrics that are left over from each adventure and you'll start noticing that your craft drawers are filling up with acrylics, special products used from past patterns until finally you realize that with all the fun you've been having you have amast a great inventory of material and supplies. Now all you need do is learn how to make your own artdoll pattern. That's it your now on your way! #artdollheaven #follow4follow

Lady Stitchdreamer 2 is ready for custom orders. Please note her dress and fabric color will change due to availability. I am a OOAK artist so each art doll I make is slightly different. If you want her by Christmas I must know by 12-1-14. She is 75.00. You will have options on my Etsy shop profile for her to request different colors for her dress and I willl do my best to accomodate you. If you want her standing let me know when your selecting your options during the purchasing process. Her shoes can be another color should you prefer. Just let me know.
